Removing Borders in Tables and Inserting Some Borders Back in the Table.

Inserting and removing boarders is necessary for formatting and layout control in Microsoft Word. Below is a simple explanation on how to do so:

1.       First off, the property that controls table border lines is the Borders option at the top Ribbon of Word.

You'll see this option under the Table Design tab when you highlight a table, but it's always on the Home tab in the Paragraph group as well.

2.       Click on the down arrow next to the Boarders symbol on the ribbon.

There you will see all of your options listed.

3.       Select your action by clicking on the appropriate option. Clicking on all boarders before clicking on no boarders will ensure that the whole table’s boarder is erased!

You can now select the option to add boarders back by selecting bottom, top, inside, outside etc.
